Happy Easter!

The youngers slept in a tent in the basement Saturday night. They woke up and set out to follow the bunny trail. (Notice the little bunny on the stairs.)

They were excited to find a stash of treats. After church they showed off the eggs that they decorated yesterday. We had a great primary activity on Saturday with an Easter theme. The kids got to go to an Easter Museum and see several artifacts as they went through the Easter story. They saw the 30 silver coins/ rock in Gethsemane/ Peter's sword/ Pilot's wash basin/cross/ nails/ spear/ vinegar and the empty tomb where Christ was buried. Then Mary Magdalene came and spoke about what it might have been like to find the empty tomb and then see the risen Savior. It was a very touching presentation and our teachers did a great job. Brigham also filled in for two of the "stations" and was awesome. Then they walked through an art gallery with 20 or so pictures of the Savior. It was a great reminder of what we are celebrating this Easter season. How grateful we are to our Savior for his amazing love for us. My friend gave a talk in sacrament this morning and shared this quote which I fell in love with. True love doesn't have a happy ending, because true love never ends. She related that to the Savior's love for us. I think I am going to have to get that printed up in vinyl and put on my wall somewhere. Love it! Today we had our traditional Easter dinner with all the fixins and played some fun games. I have such a fun family. They are the best and I want them forever! How grateful I am to Christ for making that possible! Happy Easter to all of you!

Home Sweet Home

I just thought I would upload some pictures of our home. These are some of the pictures we took to put it online when we put it on the market. We were amazingly blessed to be able to sell it in just one week. It feels like a miracle considering the market we live in. Of course, we won't close on it until June so I keep praying that everything will go smoothly. This has been a fabulous home and we have loved it. So many great memories! It will be hard to leave.

Just Horsin' Around

The kids went horseback riding with Grandpa to bring in the New Year! Thanks Grandpa for a super fun time on the horses! The kids can't wait to get back in the saddle.

Snow Fun!

Wow! All this snow dropped in just a day and a half! The kids are loving it!

Log Cabins and Colliseums

In History this week we talked about how pioneers would leave their settlements and head out to live in a in a new area. We read about cabin building and what not. We were pretty impressed at how quickly they could build a log cabin. I sent the kids down to build their own log cabins. Katry has quite the set up going on there, and the boys decided to go back even further in time and build their own rendition of the Roman Colliseum.

Soccer Season Has Begun

Soccer Season began on Saturday. Yahoo! I must admit that I was a little giddy driving Brig to his first game Saturday morning. I just love soccer season! I think its a blast! Katry and Seth don't start until the 22nd, but they are certainly psyched as well. We have been playing soccer in our back yard about once a week when it is warm enough to head out. I was decidedly slower last week than the week before. I even had a neighbor call and comment that he couldn't believe I was out there playing soccer. You know how some mom's play classical music or something to their unborn child. Well, I am playing soccer just to make sure it is deep in his roots. :) As my kids would say- Soccer Kicks! I guess "kicks" is a new form of cool!
