We headed down to Utah for the weekend. Friday night we all got together and headed to the Mt. Timpanogos temple. It was so great to be there with all my family with the exception of the Thompson Troop. We missed you guys! Saturday, we went to Stave and Ashlee's. They turned their couches into bleachers for our cheering section as we whooped and hollered the Cougars on to victory.

The Weekend of Love
We headed down to Utah for the weekend. Friday night we all got together and headed to the Mt. Timpanogos temple. It was so great to be there with all my family with the exception of the Thompson Troop. We missed you guys! Saturday, we went to Stave and Ashlee's. They turned their couches into bleachers for our cheering section as we whooped and hollered the Cougars on to victory.
I don't know what happened here, but these pictures go with the following post. They got erased somehow- but they simply must be included. :)
Singin' silly corn songs in the corn maze.
Ferocious corn stalk fighting. We also had a blast throwing corn kernels at each other.
I really "wow"ed the crowd with all my hootin' and hollerin' on this ride. Well, my family got a kick out of seeing their momma tame the beast.
After the game we headed to Thanksgiving Point to check out all the festivities at Cornbellies.
They had fun tire swings in the shape of different animals.
A giant jumping "pillow". (Do you think it looks like I am doing a Stevie Wonder impression?)
Peddle carts.

A cool wooden train.
A lot of crazy looking animals
A romp through a corn maze with "David Archulette," (no idea if I spelled that correctly) music blasting. Apparently, the maze was in the shape of his face.
A bridge to find our bearings. I am so glad we have this in real life. Its called the "sacrament". A chance to look over where we have been and see what course corrections we need to make. Anyway- I just thought of that similarity and thought I would share. :)
We wandered throught the insides of this monster. It was uh.....weird.
Bull riding. Showing the bull who the boss is.

We finished off the fun with a hay ride through the spooky fields.
Here is Kai- loving the hay. MMMM tastey.
Thats all folks. This here Seth is going to lasso this doggie and ride off into the sunset.

Brig is Rockin' It
This is Brigham in London last November. He wanted a picture in front of this building because it is a soccer stadium. Manchested United is his team. Anyway- I thought this was appropriate- since I didn't have my camera with me to take a picture after his team won the middle school/junior high soccer championship for Eastern Idaho! Wahoo! They were all pretty psyched. The tournament was action packed and tense. We had to come from behind once and had a shoot out in another game. Exciting times!
Last year this team only won one game. So it was quite a turn around for them to take it all this year. I am sure it had a lot to do with the fact that their assistant coach was incredibly good looking and an amazing athlete. Thats right, Brigham was the man.
Brig's lucky streak continues, as he won his first wrestling match last night. Way to go Brig! We love you!

Stave and Ash came to visit!
Good times! Uncle Stave and Aunt Ashlee spent the night with us! I am just kicking myself, I forgot to get my camera out, when everyone was around. I grabbed this shot of Katry, Kai and Stave before Katry left for school. But forgot to get one with Ash and the other kids. Dang!
They are such great people and we loved having them here. We got to cry over BYU loosing their game together. After all, misery loves company. Thanks for staying with us. Please come again! We love you!

Redd Haven Rising III
"Put a lid on it". Apparently that is construction talk for putting a roof on. And that is just what they have been doing for the last two weeks. Here is our roof in various stages.

This is a view of the back of the house.
The roof is all completed now- but I don't have a picture yet. Unfortunately, it wasn't done before the first snowfall- but the house has already recovered. So I guess- no harm done. It is so fun to see it coming up. The frame work on the inside is nearly completed. The plumber will be there on Monday. Wahoo!

Brig's Interesting Technique
On Sunday we made some pelmini for dinner. It is a big project so we made it a family affair. I made the dough and got it ready for the pasta machine. Kaleb cranked the handle to flatten it out and Seth cut out the circles. Dad loaded each circle with filling and Katry was moistening the edges (applying water from a bowl) and sealing the dumplings. Brig was busy making an apple pie. We decided we needed more help so that we could get dinner on the table faster. So we called Brig over and gave him the job of moistening the circles, and folding them over. He happily hopped right, over stuck his finger in his mouth to moisten it and then applied his very own spit to the dumpling. Brigham, Katry and I immediately shrieked. Brig actually thought that was okay. AHHHHH! What an uncivilized heathen!
Well, Brig's spit only graced one dumpling, and they all turned out delicious. It was so much fun making them all together. Everyone usually pitches in on Sunday dinner, but it was fun working on a single project together. I love my family, they are delightful and certainly never dull!

Friends from our Ole Kentucky Home!
We were super excited to have our good friends the Chadwicks visit us this last week. We just adore this family. Our kids are all good friends and we have missed them terribly. So we were thrilled to hear that they were coming for a visit. Fortunately, they have a son at BYU and so we may get lucky and get to see them occassionally. They spent the night with us, but Brig and Katry had school the next day. That was definitely a day that they wished they were still Homeschool-ed. Seth had a blast playing with them. I pulled the kids out of school a little early and we all went swimming and had a fun couple of hours all together.
I love this lady. It has been such a blessing to know Brenda. She has helped me in so many ways- it would be impossible to ever adequately repay her. She has a very generous heart and has been there for me over and over. Thank you so much!!!!
We love you Chadwick Family. Thanks for coming to stay with us!
