Redd Haven- Risen (well mostly)

This is our final update on the house. It is mostly completed and we are moving in TOMORROW! We are pretty excited. The front of the house is still missing the white columns.
This is looking from the Great room into the kitchen. (the blue tape is to keep people off the floor- it was recently sealed)
Master Bath
This is looking from the dinning room into the kitchen.

This is a picture of the Great room window. There are window seats under it.
And - That's all folks. It has been a really fun project. We have loved building - and while we hope to not build again- we wouldn't mind it a bit. It is so much fun to see a dream on paper become a reality.

Mini Holiday

Brigham was asked to help out in Montana for the Snowmobile races this weekend- so we took the kids out of school and headed up north to West Yellowstone. This is us living dangerously.
The snow was slowly drifting off the roof tops.
We caught a couple of IMAX theater movies. One about Yellowstone and one about the Lewis and Clark expeditions. They were awesome! Our world is so incredibly beautiful.
The kids loved having a hot tub right next to the snow banks.
They are CRAZY!
Despite the loudness of the races- our little guy was actually able to catch a few zzzzzz's.
Our neighbors were there too- so the kids loved playing with them.
Buddies!
There were snowmobile and ATV races on a course. There were also drag races.
Seth and Kai- warming their noses.

For the final show they brought out the extreme snowmobile racers. They raced up a ramp that one of them had designed. It was the first snowmobile ramp ever made. They were crazy. This guy is in mid air hanging onto his snowmobile with just his feet.
This guy is completely upside down due to the fact that he did a back flip- WITH HIS SLED. How crazy is that! Brig was really pumped and informed us that he wanted to do that. I told him that he would be just fine if he NEVER did that. We had a great time in that Winter Wonderland!

Whats Up!

Last night Brig was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. Woo woo! He was also voted in as the Activity Leader. So, he had a part in the program. He lit the green candle and talked about why "character" is important. Way to go Brig- keep up the good work! Last week our family was asked to perform a musical number in sacrament meeting. Seeing as how Brigham (Dad) is the only one who can carry a tune- we pulled out the ol' hand bells. We had a fabulous rendition of "I Am A Child of God." The kids did a good job, although many commented that Brig had a look on his face that said- "Aren't I too old for this?" I can't blame him-but he was a good kid and did what he was asked to do.
See all the boxes in the background? Those are our lights for Redd Haven. We are also packing up the rental. We should be able to move next week. How crazy is that?
Katry participated in "Crazy Hair Day", at school. I was surprised she let me do something. She is generally quite reserved and only wants tom-boy ponytails.
She wins the prize every day for CUTEST EVER! Did I mention Katry also got straight A's for the semester, was chosen to help struggling second graders learn to read, cause she is a great reader, AND was one of only seven kids in her entire school to receive a perfect score on the state writing assessment. Of course we would expect nothing less from a former home-schooler! Way to go Chachy-nanna!
