Soccer in the Sunshine

Yes, it's true!  We enjoy a lot of soccer around here.  It is one of our families favorite activities!

Just LOVING these beautiful summer evenings!

High Adventure & Boise Tournament

Dad, Brigham and Seth started the week out at High Adventure and Scout Camp.

Then we finished up the week in Boise for our final soccer tournament of the summer.  Brigham played well and we had a blast staying at the Kartchner's with their zip line, pond, and fire pole.  Brigham's high school soccer team is hurting for a goalie this year and so they each took turns playing goalie.  Brigham did so well his coach asked him to play goalie during a shoot out as well.  It was crazy- but he stopped two goals from going in.  Nice work!

Wicked!!!

The Highlight of the summer was definitely the viewing of Wicked!!!!!  We got to go with these lovely ladies and it was amazing!

We loved every second of it!

Fantastic!

La Roca Tournament

Our second tournament of the month brought us to Layton for the La Roca Cup.  Katry and Brig both played in this one.  It was a bit of a disappointment.  

Their teams had some wins and some losses.

But they always played very well.

It is fun to have such great athletes in the family!

Cache Valley Cup

July brought us three soccer tournaments- three weekends in a row.  Our first one was in Cache Valley.  We had to pick up Katry early from Girl's Camp- which she was not pleased about.  I felt her pain.  So sad!

She had two games on Thursday- one win and one loss.  Then on Friday they had a win and that took them to a championship game on Saturday-which they lost- 2-1.  Katry played like a champ and it was fun to watch her play so hard.

We finished out the weekend by heading back to Farmington and using our bounce back passes at Lagoon.  It was so much fun for those of us who are roller coaster junkies and a good time for those who just enjoy it.

Lipstick?

Redd Family Reunion

Our reunion was vastly different from past years.  For starters- we only had 5 families represented.  Even so we had a crew of 33 or so.  We sorely missed the rest of the families- but we managed to have a great time anyway.

We took the whole crew- matching shirts and all to Lagoon this year.  It was very handy for finding family amidst the crowd.

Sara and I took off for an hour in the evening and got to ride the faster rides.  It was a blast.

Saturday we did Sealings at the temple, had a picnic in the park, a talent show and

 dinner at the Mandarin.

Sunday we went to church, and then chatted the afternoon away.  It was heavenly!
