Alaskan Adventure: Day 3 Juneau

Our first stop was Juneau.  Brigham and I took a boat across the channel, 

put on our gear, hopped in an Unimog for a trip up the mountain, went across two suspension bridges,

and zipped through the beautiful rain-forest reaching speeds of 40 miles per hour and dangling above the ground as high as 150 feet in the air.  It was AWESOME!

Brigham and everyone else took a trip up the mountain to check out the Mendenhall Glacier.  It was beautiful as well- but alas- I had the camera.

Alaskan Adventure: Day 2

Day 2 was a travel day.

We did a lot of the same activities as yesterday and added swimming.

and Wii Sports on a two story screen.  We also got in an amazing juggling act.  Sooo much fun!

Family life is a bit like a runny peach pie - not perfect but who's complaining?

Alaskan Adventure

Literally minutes after Brig's tournament ended we loaded up the car and headed out on a 12 hour drive to Seattle.  Oh did I mention that we left at 7pm!  He had the very last soccer game of the tournament.  What luck!  We wanted to be there by noon so we had to get driving.  It was actually a very nice drive.  Love having DVD players- how did we ever survive without them!  We stopped for  a five hour snooze fest and continued on.

We arrived in Seattle right on schedule and loaded on the Norwegian Pearl without a hitch.  

Bye Bye Seattle- Alaska here we come!

There were so many things to do on the ship.  The first day we climbed the rock wall, played shuffle board, giant chess games, basketball, soccer, dodge ball and went to a show.

I think Katry had five ice cream cones this first day.  We loved every second  of this vacation!

Between Game Entertainment

Uncle Mark and Auntie J joined us for a couple rounds of mini golf.  

I love watching little people play.

Cooling off!  The weather was sweltering- it must have been like 80 degrees!  Hey- we were barely reaching the 70's in Idaho- so this was HOT!

Glory Tournament

The Glory Tournament found Brig's team with 3 great wins and one tough loss in the finals.  Many thanks to all our Awesome family members that made it out.  Thanks for all your support!

Brig looks thrilled with their second place finish.  Not!  That's life though- learning to live with disappointment.  It's all good!

Snaggletooth

Kaleb was so excited to finally loose one of his two front hanging teeth.  Surely the second is soon to follow!

Straight A Crew

Straight A's with Honors classes- 3 years running. I think we will take everyone to Alaska on a cruise to celebrate!
