Jiving with the Jansons

Brigham's sister Merica, her husband Jaron and baby Jaxon came for a little visit.
They were a blast.  Their little baby is soooo cute.  Katry was gushing over his cuteness!
They joined us for Brig's basketball game.  They pulled out a win.
They also went to Kaleb's soccer game, did some four wheeling, played some bball of our own at the church, played some games and thoroughly enjoyed their company.
We love the Janson's!

Honey Bear

We helped the Bishopric put together treats for some ward members.
The kids had a blast building all kinds of things with the honey bears.
And knocking them down too!

All-Area First Team Soccer

I know we are in the middle of basketball and indoor soccer season but I forgot to post about a great honor that Brig received.  He was named to the All-Area Team- First Team for soccer.  That is where the coaches get together and choose the best players in our area to put on a dream team of sorts.  It just came out in the newspaper on December 10th.  He was pretty excited and for good reason!  Awesome!
This is what was said about him in the newspaper.
Brigham Redd
Sophmore- Midfielder
Hillcrest
The Player:  Redd slid from the central midfield out to the left wing midway through the year and instantly found a home.  He was more than the typical burner.  He had an innate sense to find lanes in the defense, especially on the weak side.  Add in his ability in the air and Hillcrest's attack took off.
About Redd:  "As an opposing coach, he drove me nuts.  When you're the defense, it seems like you're chasing, you're chasing, you're chasing." IF coach

Congrats Brigham!

A Piano Recital and a Korean Feast

We had a lovely informal piano recital in our front room with our piano teacher and her family.
Our piano teacher's husband served a mission in Korea and we invited another couple- one of whom also served in Korea.  Together we all prepared a delicious Korean Feast for our families.  It was so much fun and we had a blast reminiscing about our missions.  Good, good times!
Brigham and Tanner performed a duet.
This was Kaleb's first piano recital- he did such a great job.
Seth and Katry endured- neither of them likes to be in the spotlight.  They were great!
What a great night of reminiscing and friendship!
