Birthday A Blaze

Wow!  40 seems so monumental- and yet- here it is.

What a beautiful life I have had and look at these beautiful children, and dashing husband that I get to surround my days with!  I am so blessed- how can I do anything but Celebrate where these years have brought me.  

Thanks for the yummy cake Grammy and Alma.

Birthday/ Anniversary Bash

After we dropped the kids of in Farmington- the two of us headed up to Park City.  We were going to ride on the Alpine Coaster & Slide.  The lines were incredibly long and we didn't want to spend our afternoon standing in line so we headed out.  We finally settled on 7 Peaks SLC.  It was so much fun- going down the fast rides- over and over- TOGETHER. 

 Then we headed off to dinner- there were a surprising number of establishments closed for the 4th of July.  I guess most people are BBQing.  After dinner we went to the Anniversary Inn.  We wanted to pick something exotic and unique,  so we chose the Mysteries of Egypt.  It was amazing.  I should have taken  pictures before we messed it all up- but here it is.  

Everything was Perfect- a beautiful way to begin a new decade!

Celebrating Freedom

Brigham and Katry were both marching in the parade with their school's float.

They had a great time handing out candy and goofing off.

Our kids loved collecting candy and eating to their hearts content.

After the parade we headed down to Utah.  The kids stayed with grandparents and Brigham and I headed off on an adventure of our own.  The kids had a great time watching fireworks!

4-Wheelin'

Brigham and Katry had to work on the school's float for the 4th of July parade- so we packed up everyone else and headed to the hills. 

We found a great trail that led to the top of a ridge.  The view was so beautiful.  The trail was challenging and adventurous.  The riders were up to the task and we had a blast.

Man alive were we dusty afterwards.  The creek felt delightful between our toes.

And on our heads.

Utah Glory Tournament

A day and a half after our Colorado trip- we packed up again and headed down to Utah for a soccer tournament.  Katry and Seth were playing in this one.  Katry's team took second place and Seth was- as usual- amazing.  We stayed at Uncle Mark and Auntie J's.  They were fantastic hosts.  We had a

 BBQ / Volleyball  tournament Friday night and it was a blast.  Special thanks to everyone that came to cheer them on!
