Family Fun!

Scattergories.
Dodgeball on the tramp. Along with all the neighborhood. And various other girls who think Brig is cute.
Chewing on toes.

Love this quote I came across- "God can educate our desires."- Joseph F. Smith
At times it seems impossible to do all that I want to do and learn all that I want to know. When I read this- it rang true- clear to my soul. Love it!
What do you want to learn?

Heath and I have the chance to go to Early Morning Seminary every couple weeks. We went this morning, It always gets my blood pumping and I have such a desire to learn more about what is taught in class. I want to learn more about gardening, cooking, parenting, decorating, be more organized, how to be a better wife for Heath. My list goes on and on. Whats on your list?

Sister Dear, Please tell that young man that the emphasis is still on young! ;-)

Your quote is perfect. Let's make it into vinyl and put it on our walls!?!?!?!

I want to learn everything I can but then I'm snagged by the thought that we already know 'how' to do everything - we helped to created this world(?!?!?!) So, I am consistently brought back to what I am really here for - to me - my learning comes down to obedience in the joyful mode and learning to put off the natural man in every instance - to bring light to every encounter and to bring as many as I possibly can back home with me. As you know me well, this is an every minute learning experience for I have come equipped with too much 'natural man!'

On the other hand, I just plain love learning. I love having "Ah-ha" moments. I love learning about the truths of the gospel; physics; astronomy; Hebrew/Greek; plants; drawing; relationships; grandchildren; the Jewish culture and the meaning of their holy days and how to apply them to my everyday living; metaphysics; anything to make this life more beautiful (I'm all into pretty things); how the body works and what blesses the workings of it; writing; how to truly magnify my role of wife and mother (Dad, K, Linds and I went to a great relationship workshop this weekend in Park City - can't wait to share); how to use more of our mental potential; how to make do or do without; how to make my temple experiences meaningful for both the giver and the receiver; how to care for the aged; how best to be prepared for the days that are coming; how to truly love each person in the way they need to be loved by me; how to listen and respond to the Spirit more effectively; how to make great raw food meals; HA - just like Kelly - my list goes on and on and even though this list has done just that, I could still go on and on.

Thanks for this opportunity to think on these things.

Love you much, Mom
