It is a pretty big deal to get invited to Regionals. You either have to come in first or second in your State Cup or be invited. We came in third at State Cup- despite not loosing any games. Anyway we were invited to take the place of an older team at Regionals and we jumped at the chance.
It was a great tournament and so much fun to watch such great soccer. We played the top teams from the Mountain West and we played great. We won the first two games and lost the second two games. The two teams that we lost to went on to play each other for the championship. The team who won it all was ranked 18th in the nation and we only lost to them 2-1 in a very hard battle. So we more than held our own and it was awesome.
Brigham coached the team as the other coaches couldn't make it.
Soccer is a "Beautiful Game"!
