We headed down to Colorado Springs to visit with the Sperry Redds. We visited the Garden of the Gods for a brief time. They were a lot of fun to visit with and we so appreciated their hospitality of a comfy rest and good food.

Denver Zoo
Since we were in Colorado for Brig's tournament we decided to turn it into our family vacation. We spent a fabulous day at Water World. That is hands down the best water park I have been to. They had so many great rides and and so many that we could take the whole family on together.
It was a blast!
We spent another afternoon at the Zoo. The older kids weren't interested in going- so we dropped them off at a mall and took our younger- more adventurous cubs for the outing. What a great Zoo!
It was perfect!

Region IV- Soccer Colorado
It is a pretty big deal to get invited to Regionals. You either have to come in first or second in your State Cup or be invited. We came in third at State Cup- despite not loosing any games. Anyway we were invited to take the place of an older team at Regionals and we jumped at the chance.
It was a great tournament and so much fun to watch such great soccer. We played the top teams from the Mountain West and we played great. We won the first two games and lost the second two games. The two teams that we lost to went on to play each other for the championship. The team who won it all was ranked 18th in the nation and we only lost to them 2-1 in a very hard battle. So we more than held our own and it was awesome.
Brigham coached the team as the other coaches couldn't make it.
Soccer is a "Beautiful Game"!

The Road to Eternity
17 years ago Brigham and I joined these two love birds- Mike and Mylinda and on the same day we were sealed for time and ALL ETERNITY.
One of our receptions was a joint reception in the Rose Garden in Farmington. We were in town this year so we went and visited the Rose Garden. It has changed dramatically- but this is the very flag pole that we were standing on top of in the above picture. As you can see a lot of things have changed in 17 years- and our love is certainly one of those things.
I can hardly imagine life without him. Nor do I want to. He is my motivation for getting through this life and into the next. I cannot imagine an eternity without him next to me, and that drives me to do what is right. Yes, I love God, and desire to return to Him, but my daily reminder of what is gloriously possible is my eternal companion.
Eternity sounds great...if my Eternal Companion is with me. If not, it doesn't sound so "heavenly". I can't even imagine it. I want to be with him ALL OF THE TIME. I don't need a 'night out with the gals', or to 'have some time alone', and neither does he. If we tire of each other's company here on earth, that doesn't bode well for the billions of years to come.
There is no book, no movie, no song has ever been written - or ever will be - that is more romantic than the concept and promise of Eternal Marriage. It is what every pair of lovers dream about - it is the possibility that churns in their souls - even if they don't understand how or why. It feels right.
God does not send us to this earth to create bonds of such depth and importance, merely to cast them aside, or let the clock run out on them. Yet it happens to most.
The constant in my life is my sweet companion. He loves me - go figure! I love him - who wouldn't? Our marriage has a natural ease about it that contradicts those who preach that "marriage is hard work". I don't feel it. How can I describe this relationship as hard work? It is my favorite part of life - it's not a chore. There are many who do not feel the same, but for us, that is our reality. I can't call it work. It is as effortless as breathing!
When I look into the eyes of my amazing husband, I am reassured that he loves me, yet I sense something even greater at work- and there's only one. His love for me reminds me that God loves me, too. He must - or we wouldn't be 'us' - and we couldn't be 'us' forever.

A New Beginning
Sweet Kaleb was baptized on June 9 in Farmington.
It was a very special day and he was lucky enough to share the day with his cousin Adam who was born the day after him.
The Farmington Redds were so kind to host a dinner before hand with all of our families that are in the area. It was so great to have everyone there.
Brigham gave a great talk on Baptism. Spencer gave one on the Holy Ghost.
His Dad gave him a beautiful blessing as he conferred the Holy Ghost on him. I felt my heart sing with joy as I contemplated how bountifully blessed I am with a righteous, humble husband and beautiful children.
In the Confirmation circle: Grandpa Thompson, Grandad Redd, Uncle Staven, Uncle Kaleb, Uncle mark, Uncle Moroni, Uncle James, Grandpa White, Cousin Derrek, Bishop Bush
My testimony today is that through Jesus Christ we can be born again. We can change. We can change completely. And we can stay changed. — J. Richard Clarke
