Day 4 we started out with
Palantine Hill and the Forum. You can kind of see we all have ear buds in. We are all listening to an audio guide on Brig's MP3 player. It was pretty funny walking around trying to stay together and keep our ear piece in. But we learned a ton of cool things.

Next we headed over to the Vatican. Last time we were here (3 years ago) we waited in line for over two hours. This time we just walked right in. Timing is everything! The Vatican is stuffed with art- its amazing. Here Brig is showing off his posing abilities.

The culminating end to the
Vatican tour is in the Sistine Chapel. No pictures allowed inside, but it is truly amazing. Its probably my favorite thing to see in Rome. From their we took a little secret door (which we found out about from our guide book) to St, Peter's
basilica. Wow, this is some church. It is huge and extremely ornate. It is an impressive site. The best thing there is
Michelangelo's'
Pieta. It is a stunning sculpture of Mary holding the slain Christ.

We ended up the day
visiting Capuchins Crypt. I am sure that isn't spelled right. I wish this picture had turned out better. All those things on the walls are the bones, (vertebrae, ribs, fingers etc) of deceased monks put into art work. They had about six different rooms all decorated with human bones. It was a bit eerie and
definitely crazy. Can you imagine trying to spend a night in a room like that?
