Thanksgiving Love

Loved being in Farmington for Thanksgiving this year!  Everyone was there with the exception of the Stones who were sorely missed.

I don't remember the exact count for dinner- but I believe it was around 60.

It was heavenly!

Heading Home

After Legoland we spent a day in Palm Springs relaxing by the pool and enjoying the sunshine.  

Loved that we flew there- makes me never want to drive again!

We flew back to SLC and reunited with our three biggers in Farmington to enjoy the 

Thanksgiving break.  We left them for three and a half days and four nights.  They assured us that the house was still standing and everything went so well- we just might do it again sometime.

Legoland- Redux

Last year over Christmas we took the whole family on a  California Adventure.

Our last stop was Legoland.  Kaleb and Kai had been looking forward to it for months.  Unfortunately, when the big day finally arrived they were not in tip top shape.  After just two rides- Kaleb started throwing up.  Hoping that it was just a twirly ride that made him sick we pressed on.  After lunch Kai started throwing up.  And when it continued- we knew we had a bug.  Needless to say- this was not their favorite day.  So we were super happy to bring them back again and this time it was perfect!

Lines were non-existent. We got on a ride and stayed on it as many times as we wanted- then got off when we were finished.  The weather was amazing- a little overcast, but warm.

I am so glad they got to enjoy it while feeling good.

On this day- Brigham was already in his classes- so we had to brave it without him.

Kaleb watched the kids so that I could go on this fun ride that whips you around and upside down.

It was a blast.

A great day!

Sea World

Luckily for us, Brigham had to get in some CME before the end of the year so we packed up the three younger kiddos and headed to California!

Our first stop was Sea World.  

Such a great place- a nice mix of fun rides and beautiful, amazing creatures.

These guys decided to sit in the splash zone.....

....and they were rewarded!

Harvest Bonfire

We like to gather up all of our cornstalks and set a bonfire at the end of each harvest year.

Of course, we can't just lite the bonfire- it has to be a challenge.

First we shot off bottle rockets- no luck.

Then we shot off flaming arrows...

no luck...

nada...

Zilch!

Either the arrow wouldn't make it- or the flame would go out before reaching the pyre.

It was pretty comical,

and we didn't give up.

And then we moved in closer...

until we were just a few short feet away.

Potato Harvest

Feeling like true Idahoans!

Our Flag

We always wanted to have a flag flying at our home.  We even had it built into our landscaping plans.

After living here four years- we finally got around to getting one.

All the kids helped put it into the ground and raise it up.  

It was a great project.

Of course we had to see how it would look with a flag right away.

So beautiful!

Long may she wave- over the land of the free and the home of the brave!
