Living the Dream

Imagine you are an eight year old cub scout- never mind the stinky socks and the dread of taking baths. What would be a dream come true? That's right- a second helping of the Pinewood Derby, and the opportunity to make another car. That dream came true for Seth on Friday night when he got to participate in his second pinewood derby this year. Ahhh the advantages of moving. He named this car, "Speedracer"!

This ward went all out. They had an electronic finish line and trophies. The Dad's go a little fruity- bordering on ridiculous. The winning car had a total of 14 hours spent on it. FOURTEEN HOURS! Hello Please! The poor boy probably got to touch his car twice during the whole process. Once to bring it home and once to take it to the race. Seth had a good time designing and making his car. Dad even got a new Dremel patterned after the old one- which broke. He came in sixth in the races and in first place for his happy attitude.

He was finally able to do an outdoor flag ceremony as well so he received his Wolf badge along with one gold arrow point and ten silver arrow points. Way to go Seth! I am pretty sure he is the cutest cub scouter on the planet!

Egg-ceptional Easter

Easter weekend was Egg-ceptional! Jaleah and Micah joined us on Thursday evening. And then my Dad, Mom and Great Grandparents joined us on Friday. Here are some Highlights! Jaleah's date with our cute neighbor.

Easter is the perfect holiday. Fun little activities -with most of the focus on our Saviour. I am grateful for His unselfish love and perfect example. His sacrifice for us is real and eternal. I am grateful that he introduced mercy- to satisfy justice. I surely need it. I love Jesus Christ- my brother, my Lord, my Saviour.

General Conference in Review

We had a great General Conference weekend. On Saturday we drove down to Twin Falls where Brig played two soccer games. The wind was icy cold. Right after the games, we hustled into the car and drove down to SLC. Brigham and Brig were very fortunate and got tickets to attend the priesthood session. They loved being in the presence of all of those apostles and our beloved prophet. After conference they chowed down on some PF Chang. The girls and my little ones all headed out to eat at the Olive Garden. We had a great time catching up and dinner was delightful.

Sunday morning we all watched conference together. Mom and Dad put out an amazing feast to snack on during each session. It was all soooo delish. Brigham left us Sunday afternoon to drive down to Monticello. His sweet Grandad had passed on and I'm sure was enjoying a delightful reunion in Heaven.

The kids enjoyed some tree climbing and scooter action between sessions. Kaleb & Lindsey brought all of the Pfleuger clan over for the morning session and we loved playing with them.

I LOVE, love, LOVE this picture of Kai. Except for the fact that he looks like a little boy instead of a baby. He is growing up too fast. His birthday is tomorrow.

What a great conference!!!! Loved it all. I want to be all that my Heavenly Father wants me to be and all that my Savior has sacrificed for me to become. Lets get to work!

Spring Break in the SNOW!

We had a great spring break. We decided to head back up to the snow with a couple of snow mobiles in tow. It was so BEAUTIFUL. The first day we followed the three hundred plus miles of groomed trails. It was delightful racing along in the majesty of the mountains. Kaleb sat up front and loved to put his arms out as we raced along. At first he just wanted to go "slowly", but that all changed very rapidly. As soon as we let him drive- he sped along faster than any of us.

I asked him several times if he was okay- since he was sitting up front- taking the brunt of the wind. Finally he answered-" Mom,...I am ALWAYS okay." He had a great time.

After a few hours we had three kids lulled to sleep by the roar of the snowmobiles.

Kai was a champ. He slept pretty much the whole time wrapped up in the snuggly on my chest.

On Monday- we took the snowmobiles out again. This time we pulled off to the side of the road and blazed our own trails. This was definitely the funner day. It was great being able to explore, dodging through the pine trees and following deer tracks. The whole trip was just delightful.
