Jackson Hole

The second part of our trip we headed up to Jackson Hole.

They have a great rec center there.  It has a really fun water slide.  Everyone loved it- including Kai.

They also had a climbing wall that was placed over the deep end, so that if you fell off or if you got to the top you could just jump off.  There was also a great play area for the younger kids.  The whole place was soooo much fun. 

After the rec center we found a delicious Thai place.  The sauces were so good.

Then we walked around Jackson Square and got cozy with the animals.

We finished off the day with a scoop of Haagen Dazs, and headed home with a drive through the gorgeous Teton Pass.

What a beautiful world we are blessed to live in!

Blacktail

The third day of our family trip we joined our friends the Andersons for a day on the lake.

We finished up our vacation with movie night- The Shooter- great flick.

This pretty much sums up the trip.  It was a wild fun filled ride and at the end- we slept contentedly. :)

Palisades

For our family trip this year - we headed to a beautiful reservoir- Palisades.

We took our tents and sleeping bags and water gear.

Life is fabulous playing in a beautiful lake.

The weather was perfect.

We also loaded up our four wheelers and took to the trails.  The kids found a jump and loved "catching air."

Unfortunately, one of our quads got a massive flat on the first day.

Fortunately, we all fit just fine on the other two.

We found a great camping spot.  Where we could just hop on and ride with lots of trails nearby.  We also loaded everyone one up and went exploring on longer trails.  It was so much fun and so beautiful.

We were also lucky enough to camp by a small river that fed into Palisades.

We loved the sound of it- especially at night.

We love campfires!

Girls Camp 2010

Girls Camp was a P*A*R*T*Y

A big thanks to Aunt J and Uncle Mark for coming and watching our little people so that Brigham, Laini and I could head to girls camp for a couple of days.

It was in Jackson Hole and it was gorgeous.  We went white water rafting, hiking, a dinner and a show at the Bar J Ranch, virtue hike, crafts, testimony meeting, am and pm devotionals, and had really good food.

Our fearless leaders.  These ladies are party animals.  They stayed up later and were louder than all the other girls combined.  One particular night- I went to sleep at 1am- but these ladies stayed up until 3 and this is how they woke up.  They had wanted to write on the girls faces, but thought it was too risky- so they drew on their own faces and blamed it on the girls.  It was hilarious!

We also had a spa afternoon with facials and pedicures.  Brigham said this was the "weirdest" camp he had ever been to.  It was his first initiation to girls camp.

Looking Beautiful!  This was also Katry's first year at camp.  She LOVED it!  I loved being there with her. 

When we got back from camp we went to watch the Blue Angels perform.  They were amazing and the whole show was exhilarating.  I wish I had pictures.  Thanks again Jaleah and Mark!

Primary Party

The kids had a great time at our wards primary activity. 

They had pioneer songs and stories around a campfire.  Rides on a wagon, face painting and a bounce house.

They capped it all off with a parade.

Good times!
